Peter has been practicing acupuncture in New York since 1998, and teaching since 2000. Most of his experience has been in the areas of substance abuse recovery and community health issues including hepatitis and HIV, and working in settings which make treatment available to underserved groups. He have been a clinic supervisor at an acupuncture school since 2000. For the past five years, he has had the opportunity to supervise and coordinate student externships at an inpatient drug treatment center and for an organization providing services to folks who have been incarcerated, as well as an alternative to incarceration program. For the past year, he has been employed as an acupuncturist by Center for Comprehensive Care, an excellent HIV clinic in New York City.
Peter is excited to be involved with the Third Root Community Health Center.
